Sissinghurst Castle Gardens
Posted on October 8, 2006 in
On Sunday afternoon I visited Sissinghurst Castle Gardens with Daniel (my son), Cindy (my wife) and Leanne (my sister). It was a nice relaxing afternoon and the restaurant serves up a rather delicious lunch. According to the National Trust Website these are:
One of the world’s most celebrated gardens, the creation of Vita Sackville-West and her husband Sir Harold Nicolson.
- Celebrated gardens designed by writer Vita Sackville West
- Intimate setting in the grounds of an Elizabethan mansion
- Romantic little compartments filled with colourful floral displays
- Lakeside and woodland walks open all year
- Lovely unspoilt Wealden countryside
